Yes, we produce and assemble our Tongs for Tossers in our back shed at our home in Perth, all materials are sourced locally, if available locally, other than that we purchase from Aussie manufacturers and suppliers only.
-
Well, have a look at our Gallery, there is a photo of someone standing on the tongs with a piece of fire wood in the jaws, not something we would recommend, but it show’s just how durable Tongs for Tossers are.

Everything, Tongs for Tossers have been tested for 20+ years, all across Australia, to ensure they stand up to what we Aussies dish out.
Yes you can buy a cheap set of fire tongs from the big hardware stores, but are you really getting Aussie made, are you really getting something that will last for many many years, definitely not!
Here’s a few points why Tongs for Tossers are different:
Outstanding durability from the 1.2mm Zincanneal or 1.2mm 304 Stainless Steel
Easy, single handed operation, no need to unfold to use
Exceptional leverage to grip any size or shape of firewood
Provides total control of those burning logs, or whatever else you need to move in the fire
Exceptionally Strong
Entirely Aussie Made
Patent Pending Grip Teeth and Camp Oven/ Grill Plate Hook
Compact enough to fit snugly in with our camping gear, in your caravan or in your 4WD
Strong but light, they weigh only 800 grams
Everyone you meet will want a set!

Very, they have been designed for ease of use, true one handed operation, even for the ladies.
We have a video on how to use your Tongs for Tossers, there’s a link below with a ‘How to Use’ video.
Well, after many years of rigorous field testing (mostly sitting around a campfire with a cold beer), we’ve discovered there is actually a right way and a wrong way to use your Tongs. To ensure you don't look like a complete amateur at the campsite, follow these simple steps:
The Technique
The Tongs have an ‘inner’ and an ‘outer’ half. If you’re right-handed, hold the outer half in your palm with the Tongs for Tossers Logo facing up. Hold them vertically and get a good grip with your fingers.
When you’re ready to see some action, simply twist your wrist anticlockwise and open your fingers slightly. Like magic, the Tongs will spring open, ready to grab that log. Use your fingers to operate the gripping action. If you’re a Lefty, do exactly the same thing, just use your ‘special’ hand.
The Gravity Trick
We’ve engineered these Tongs with "Gravity-Assist Technology" (which is a fancy way of saying they work with physics). They are designed to automatically open when held horizontally and stay closed for storage when held vertically. This makes sliding them into the storage bag a breeze, rather than a wrestling match.
We place a ‘How to Use’ direction sheet in with your Tongs for Tossers, just so you dont miss out on the information.

Slip on back to our main page and click on the Learn More button in Our Story, it’ll take you to the full story of how Tongs for Tossers came about and how the became called Tongs for Tossers.

We would like to say that they are indestructible, but like anything we buy, a little care goes a long way.
Care Instructions
We’ve built your Tongs for Tossers from "Good Old Aussie" Bluescope Zincanneal (Campfire Series) or high-grade Stainless Steel (Bonfire Series). They are tough, but they aren't invincible.
If you’ve been using them on the beach or they’ve had a dose of salt spray, give them a quick rinse in fresh water and let them dry completely before you tuck them back into their storage bag. We’ve been using our original pair for over 20 years in the bush and at the beach, and they still look great—mostly because we treat them better than our own shadows.
Maintenance
Good news: there’s no need to lubricate the hinge! It’s constructed from Grade 18/8 Stainless Steel, so it’ll keep swinging as long as you do.
A Final Warning
Your Tongs for Tossers will be the envy of the campsite. Because they are so much better than everyone else’s cheap hardware store versions, they have a habit of "going for a walk."
We strongly suggest you pack them away with your other valuables at night, or you might find your neighbor becoming a "Tosser" at your expense!
